Antique Vehicle Plates

Antique motor vehicles may display Horseless Carriage, Collector vehicle, or Restored license plates depending on the age of the vehicle.

• Horseless Carriage - are at least 40 years old or older.
• Motorcycle Horseless Carriage - are at least 40 years or older.
• Restored Vehicle Plate - are at least 30 years or older.
• Restored Motorcycle Plate - are at least 30 years or older.
• Collector Vehicle - are at least 30 years or older.

Any of the above can have a customer-provided set of plates that were issued the same year as the vehicle and match the same color and design of plates issued for that year. This requires the customer to bring in one of the original plates to the DOL office.
